Coverage & claims

The big questions.

How the shared budget, item limits, and claim allowance behave in real life.

01How many claims can I make?

Up to three approved claims in any rolling 12-month period, and the window rolls rather than resetting on a fixed date. A claim we decline does not count. Dollar limits still apply: the total available over your term and the most payable on any one item—never more than what you paid for it.

02What if I break something cheap?

Items below the minimum value for their category are not covered—usually between $75 and $300. A service visit can cost more than replacing a low-cost item, so excluding them keeps the plan useful for meaningful repairs.

03What happens when my coverage total runs out?

That is the end of your repair budget for the term; it does not reset. Your account always shows the remaining amount so this should never come as a surprise.

04Why did my coverage adjust before the repair was done?

When we approve a claim, we reserve that money immediately so it is guaranteed to be there when the bill arrives. If the final repair costs less, the difference is released back.

05How much is any single item covered for?

Up to what you paid for it and within the category ceiling. The receipt sets the item’s maximum benefit.

06Can I add items after I sign up?

Yes, any time. Each new purchase must be registered inside its category window, and its coverage begins after the waiting period.

07What if I sell something that is covered?

Coverage on that item ends when you part with it; coverage follows you, not the appliance. Removing it frees a slot for another eligible purchase.

08Why is there a waiting period?

It prevents someone from joining only after an item is already broken. The waiting period applies separately to each item from the day it is registered.

The practical stuff

Before you buy.

Receipts, exclusions, cancellations, and what kind of contract this actually is.

09How does monthly billing work?

The plan costs $9.99 per month—one price for your plan, not $9.99 per item. The three-year plan has one shared $4,000 repair budget for the entire term; that budget does not reset each month.

10Do I need a receipt?

Strongly recommended. It proves the purchase price, which sets the item’s coverage ceiling, and the purchase date. Claims with a receipt already on file move much faster.

11What is not covered?

Loss, theft, intentional damage, pre-existing faults, cosmetic damage that does not affect function, wear items such as filters and bulbs, and commercial use. Your plan agreement contains the full list.

12Is this insurance?

No. This is a service contract. It covers eligible repair and replacement of registered items, subject to the plan terms.

13Can I cancel?

Yes. Cancellation terms vary by state and are set out in your agreement, including any pro-rata refund you are entitled to.
